We heard that a lot of people still afraid to spend their end year holiday in Bali because of Mount Agung and some natural disaster in Indonesia. Here we are in Bali just want to say that the island of Gods is still safe. The weather still good, everything just fine, and perfect for your 2019 holiday.
Talking about the 2019 holiday in Bali, have you prepared activities that you want to do? Not yet? Don’t worry, let us give you 5 top things that you need to do in Bali. Make sure you don’t miss one of them 🙂
1. Natural Spa at Peguyangan Waterfall, Bali
Nusa Penida is another magical place in Bali, make sure you don’t forget to visit Peguyangan Waterfall. It is not like a jungle waterfalls in central Bali, it’s a series of short, cascading spring fountains that eventually make their way over a steep ravine and into the sea. Away from the ravine, the cascades make a great place for all to enjoy a ‘natural spa’, and a massage from the fast flowing waters as they burble over the shallow ledges and pools. Reaching the springs involves a descent down narrow stairs against the wall of the ravine. After some 460 steps, the gorgeous sight of the cascades is both exhilarating and relieving.
2. Lay On Infinity Pool
Who says that the infinity pool at Bali is way too mainstream? It’s still happening in 2019, for sure. The most iconic are the double infinity pools at The Hanging Gardens in Ubud. Where Hanging Gardens started many hotels followed. The Ayana Resort overlooking its own private beach is probably my favorite infinity pool. Rimba Jimbaran comes a close second. If you don’t want to stay at a hotel to experience an infinity pool you can get a day pass at Alila Ubud, Kalpa Beach Lounge and Potato Head are also options.
3. Leap Off a Waterfall
Do you love to explore Bali’s countryside and also rushing your adrernaline at the same time? so, canyoning could be the answer. The leading company that run this canyoning tour is Adventure & Spirit. The package is include abseiling down waterfalls, swim into rivers, swimming, sliding and zip lining. Find out more about it here.
4. Visit Balinese Ancient Village
A very strong culture that Bali has until now, could be one of the reasons why so many people come and visit the island. To really experience that thing, and know about the Balinese culture is to visit its traditional villages. In Bali there are many of traditional villages that worth to explore, one of them is called Desa Tenganan or in english means Tenganan Village. The village is located at Karangasem, Bali which before the 1970s was known by anthropologists to be one of the most secluded societies of the archipelago (Indonesia). The people of Tenganan village also known as the original Balinese people, or also called Bali Aga, and they continue to follow their ancient traditions and customs until now. Only those who born in the village can stay in the village and become full members of the community.
If you want to visit this village, there is a tour that not only bring you to experience the village, but also trekking thru the lush jungle and breathtaking view of rice fields. Check it out, here.
5. Never Forget The Beach
A lot of beautiful beach that you can visit in Bali, one of them is Bingin Beach. This beach is a boho hideaway that’s hard to find unless you know where you’re going – or who to follow. With perfect waves and small sandy coves for swimming at low tide, this cliff-base beach is a favourite for Bali’s sun soakers and surfers. There are some great healthy cafes here too, perfect for a post-surf refuel and insta-ready sunsets.
